About Jorge Paricio Garcia, Ph.D.

Dr. Jorge Paricio Garcia is an associate professor-in-residence for the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering. He has more than 20 years of academic experience in the field of industrial design at multiple institutions. He has practiced product design, packaging design, and exhibit design in New York City, Denver, and Madrid, Spain, and has helped write patents and developed concepts for Colgate Palmolive, among other companies.

His expertise lies in concept drawing for product design, digital rendering, design thinking, product development, and storytelling. He also brings more than 16 years of experience teaching in online formats and as a subject-matter expert.

He has received the Teacher of Excellence Award at a former school and was a finalist twice for a prestigious educational award. He is an advising member of the international design and research magazine i+DiseƱo.

He holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, a master's in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid.
